This Anti-Islamic Microaggression Shall Not Stand: “Stampede” Refers To Animals, Not People

The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Chicago Tribune, The Los Angeles Times, and a host of other major newspapers and other media have insulted Islam with their ignorant or intentional use of the word “stampede.” The Oxford English Dictionary’s first definition clearly states that stampede is: A sudden panicked rush of a number of horses, cattle, or other animals.

If it is mere ignorance, then perhaps American journalism schools should be examined for their inability to teach even the most basic skills necessary to be a journalist; the ability to use a dictionary. At a minimum, there should be mandatory sensitivity training for all journalism students, and continuing education requirements put in place for all graduates.

If this horrible slight is intentional, I call upon the Social Justice Warriors^TM of the world to unite and overthrow the revanchist press, who are unwilling to accept the ascendance of Islam, and viciously denigrate Muslims by equating them with animals. All thinking people are shocked by this usage, and many are physically ill in solidarity with the Religion of Peace.
