Some Pushback Against Transgender Insanity

The American College of Pediatricians has issued a statement that is shocking in its frankness and lack of sensitivity to the many Social Justice WarriorsTM who have been rushing headlong into the miasma of mental illness known as gender dysphoria. Yes, it is a “temporary statement” that will be finalized and published in the summer, but any organization that can make an unequivocal statement that gender dysphoria is a psychological condition is one that is on the right track.

The American College of Pediatricians urges educators and legislators to reject all policies that condition children to accept as normal a life of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex. Facts – not ideology – determine reality.

It’s bad enough when adults with these psychological issues are allowed to mutilate themselves with hormone therapy and surgery, but when parents allow their children to be mutilated instead of cared for it is a particularly egregious and shocking thing. Who would have thought that The American College of Pediatricians is willing to stand up to what will undoubtedly be intense pressure from militant sex warriors! But…based on the full text of the statement they are ready. It is a full-throated denunciation of the insanity that is America’s — or rather the MSM’s — current stance on a small minority of people who need significant psychiatric care, but are offered nothing but approval of their dysfunction.

7. Rates of suicide are twenty times greater among adults who use cross-sex hormones and undergo sex reassignment surgery, even in Sweden which is among the most LGBQT – affirming countries.11 What compassionate and reasonable person would condemn young children to this fate knowing that after puberty as many as 88% of girls and 98% of boys will eventually accept reality and achieve a state of mental and physical health?

Go read the whole thing…it’s marvelous. And then make sure that your kids’ pediatrician agrees with it!

  1. You may want to compare the position (and history & background) of the ACP with the American Academy of Pediatricians. The first has a clear mission, and it’s not about better pediatric medicine.

  2. Of course it is overtly political, as is the American Academy of Pediatricians, as is the American Medical Association, as is……

  3. The AAP has advocated for a hard stance against ANY guns in the home.
Note, not a stance on gun safety. Or locking up guns, or anything like that. A hard stance against even having them.
There has been some murmur about dropping patients who refuse to comply, like certain practices drop anti-Vaxxers.

Tell me again what’s about better medicine?
(For the record, I actually asked my pediatrician about this specifically, because I’m not getting rid of my Ruger 10/22, that I intend to teach my daughter on or my shotgun. I have already begun the process of securing them Currently they reside in the basement which itself is behind a childproof door (Well that and the stairs are far more dangerous than the guns right now.) Over the next 6-12 months I’ll be adding locks to those doors and locking ammo cases for the small amount of ammo I keep on hand.)

In any case my pediatrician called that recommendation “stupid” and said “it’s a safety issue just like chemicals, if we discuss it will be in that context, but you seem to already understand what to do.”
