If You Don’t Own At Least 17 Guns, You Are Scum

Gun Inequality — Liberals now complaining about “hardcore super owners”

Americans own an estimated 265m guns, more than one gun for every American adult, according to the most definitive portrait of US gun ownership in two decades. But the new survey estimates that 133m of these guns are concentrated in the hands of just 3% of American adults ā€“ a group of super-owners who have amassed an average of 17 guns each.

Luckily I made the cut, but not by much. What about you mincing, wannabe gun-toters?

Get thee to a gun store!

And then laugh with Mike Rowe… H/T D2

Leave Me Adrone!

Early this morning, deep in the middle of some sort of strange gardening dream, I was awakened by the sound of a giant bumble bee, hovering a few inches from my ear. As I slowly entered a more conscious state, I realized the sound was not coming from a bee in a dream, nor for that matter, a bee in reality. It was coming from something much larger, just outside my bedroom window. Dressed in my favorite pair of non-existent pajamas, I leapt from my bed and pulled the drapes aside. There, not three feet in front of me, was a camera, dangling from the underside of a drone. The red light was on, and the camera was rolling.

  1. Nope, all I have is an old squirrel hunting shotgun somewhere. That’s all – you can totally believe me. Really. ,

  2. Well, I *was* good until that stupid canoe accident.

WTF was I thinking taking ALL of them with me? There was no way I was going to shoot them all that day, and even if my friends had shown up, we still could have shared. Crap.

  3. Me too, but not much more, and I am sort of embarrassed by that.

The problem is that the guns I want are really expensive.

    SCAR-17 for starters.

  4. Only a solitary 9mm Walther PPQ for me. Planning on a nice small bore target rifle to get back into the sport. Should be looking at a decent AR-15 for SHTF scenarios. Previously owned a Suhler 150 target rifle and a 9mm Glock 26.

  5. for me there are just four types that matter:

    handgun
    shotgun
    close combat rifle
    sniper rifle

one of each is plenty, i’m working on the last one šŸ™‚

Mmyeah, I’m not sure “one of each” is plenty enough, but you do have a point: There does come a point at which you have enough. Somewhere along the line, a deep stock of ammo ought to be considered. And then every year or two, in lieu of stuffing another gun into the safe or adding to the ammo stockpile, I’m at the point where putting that money into some training is a better ideal.
