Good morning, kids. The end of the Labor Day weekend is here and with it comes both the impending potential disaster of Hurricane Dorian and the tragedy of another mass shooting in Texas and the attendant descent of Leftist jackals to use the victims as a pretext to disarm the American citizenry.
We’ll get to that in a moment but the latest on Dorian is that it has been upgraded into a catastrophic Category 5 storm. The governor of South Carolina has ordered a mandatory evacuation of the entire coast while in Florida, Broward County was ordered evacuated yesterday. The DHS is reporting that it has already deployed 3,000 personnel in advance to help coordinate/mitigate disaster relief. The storm has slammed into the Bahamas and the current track has it nearing the Florida coast and then tracking north along the shore. If you are anywhere near where this thing is going to hit, grab your family, pets and essential items and get the hell out when the order is given. Stay safe and prayers for the victims.

It started when the gunman, now dead, was pulled over in a routine traffic stop and started firing, then was cornered at a movie theater where he went on a rampage before finally being killed by cops. It turns out he was well known to the authorities for a number of prior run-ins with the law. The usual gaggle of Leftists and all the Democrat presidential candidates are shrieking for more laws while Beto “shitz-on-a-Ritz” O’Rourke is openly boasting about confiscating all privately owned semi-automatic weapons in the extremely unlikely nightmare scenario of him getting elected.The cold hard reality, and I apologize for having to put it in these terms, is that horrible as these shootings are, the number of victims is virtually a rounding error in comparison to the victims of gun crime involving illegal firearms in the inner cities of America. All are places essentially controlled for decades by Democrats and with some of the strictest gun laws on the books. And yet the problem is the tens of millions of law-abiding Americans who own tens of millions of more firearms of all descriptions legally and above all else as is their inalienable right under the Second Amendment of the Constitution. I’d like the see the president use this angle to attack the vampires of the Congressional Black Caucus who have done nothing but turn inner city America into a literal mass grave for their alleged constituents.More specific legislation targeting specific weapons are bad enough, but the alarm bells should be ringing far and wide for so-called “red flag” laws that have implications far beyond that of supposedly preventing these sort of crimes. And speaking of the death-cult that shall not be named lest you be labeled Islamophobic (whoopsie), no one seems to be covering yet another Stabby McIkeeelyou who went on a rampage that killed one and injured nine in France. The motive is “unknown” and will remain so, lest you be charged with a thought crime.At least from all indications so far, the President is not going to cave and get on board with this sort of legislation. I’m naturally not so sanguine about the GOP but even with the typical, and now ramped up to eleventy-leven shrieking from the Democrat-Left-Media complex to do something, anything, this is a third rail issue for a very large swathe of voters. For me, if you want to stop this sort of attack, every American who is able and is responsible enough should have a concealed carry permit. Beyond that, let’s look at the so-called “root causes” the Left is always going on about. That would be the dissolution of the nuclear family, the assault on traditional masculinity, the move away from Judeo-Christian values and morality for a start – all things inflicted on the nation for the past 50 years by the Left.
