Proof positive that Obama has no sense of propriety whatsoever. The Pope is coming to visit, and instead of being a gracious host, Obama is going out of his way to offend by inviting an abortion advocate and an assortment of degenerates to meet the Pope. Nice.

In a stunning show of political indecorum, Obama has invited a series of individuals who publicly flout Catholic teaching, including a pro-abortion religious sister, a transgender woman and the first openly gay Episcopal bishop, along with at least two Catholic gay activists.

An intermediary for several of the invitations to greet the Pope was Vivian Taylor, a 30-year-old male transvestite who acted as Executive Director of Integrity USA, a homosexual and transgender activist wing of the Episcopal Church, until last March.

It’s not a matter of how one feels about the Pope. It’s ignorant to invite a guest and then gratuitously offer him disrespect. If you have a problem with the man, then don’t invite him. Make up some excuse for not being available – which is what Obama did with Netanyahu in March – but don’t host an event designed to give offense to the guest. It’s elementary courtesy not to do this.

Would Obama invite a correspondingly sorry crew to meet, say, a fundamentalist Muslim religious leader? Of course not. He shows deference to Muslims generally, bowing to all and sundry, and beaming when Bergdahl’s father, to the delight of the Taliban, thanked “Allah the merciful” in Arabic on the White House lawn. Only Muslims and America haters get that sort of solicitude.

In the same spirit shown by Obama, perhaps the next President should invite him back to the White House to meet with some white supremacists so they can discuss their views too.

 

Update: I just saw this. To my point above re Muslims, Obama has invited to the White House young Ahmed Mohammed, who brought to his high school this contraption,

Irving Police Department have released a photo of the homemade clock that Ahmed Mohamed brought to school

which started beeping ominously in his classroom, causing school officials not unreasonably to suspect that it might be a bomb. Of course this warrants an invitation from Obama to visit the White House, along with his clock. I wonder what the Secret Service thinks about that. Young Mohammed should include a few flares in the briefcase just to spice up the proceedings.

Josh Earnest then intoned sanctimonioulsy:

This episode is a good illustration of how pernicious stereotypes can prevent even goodhearted people who dedicated their lives to educating young people from doing the good work that they set out to do.’

Yeah, because Muslim teenagers never bring bombs to public occasions. Total stereotype.

Josh, it was a perfectly reasonable concern. It looks like it could be a bomb, and the price for laughing it off could be steep. Considering that kids get rousted for biting Pop Tarts into the shape of a pistol, it’s time to get some perspective here.

Oh, that’s why Obama invited an abortion advocate, and several bizarre perverts to meet the Pope: to transcend politics. Got it.

WaPo never misses an opportunity to provide Obama with a tongue bath:

The visit also offers the president an opportunity to renew the progressive Catholic ties he first developed as a community organizer in Chicago. In the past, he has talked about how his “heart and mind were touched” by Cardinal Joseph Bernardin, the archbishop of Chicago until he died in 1996.

“Progressive Catholic ties” aka “Communist sympathizers in the Catholic Church.” Would that include Michael Pfleger?

  2. No, not at this point. I’m just amazed that he’s plumbing the depths of impropriety so assiduously. I thought the State Department must have let all of their protocol officers go when Mooch grabbed and hugged Queen Elizabeth, an egregious faux pas, but this is equally bad.

  4. The Muslim kid/clock thing is in my opinion a complete set up of the school district. The DFW area has a very suspect Muslim population. Remember CAIR is a spin-off of the Islamic Association For Palestine that was from the DFW area and had members convicted of terrorism. Prior to that there was the “Holy Land Foundation” which also has some of the same members convicted of sending technology in violation of export laws.

    Obama is their tool.

  9. When I first read the story over on Ace, I’ll admit, it sounded like the school over-reacted. But now seeing a picture of the clock, I can see how it could be mistaken for a bomb. And we now live in a ‘better safe, than sorry” age.

  11. Imagine for a moment that a) the kid was not a Muslim but rather an Average White Kid and b) that he brought something to school that looked as if it MIGHT be some kind of dangerous device. (Forget that most kids smart enough to “build” a clock would not come up with a clunky contraption like this one.)

    Now imagine that the teachers said “oooh, okay, that’s nice” and let little Billy take it to class with him. And suppose little Billy pushes a button on the briefcase and the whole damn thing explodes, taking out a bunch of other kids and teachers.

    What would the public reaction have been? Hell, what would Choom Boy’s reaction be?

    I despise anything that smells of Police State tactics, but schools have to err on the side of safety.

These invitations are not a slap in the face to this Pope, it is a slap in the face, on purpose, to Catholics who try to follow the tenants of over 2 thousand years of Catholic teaching and philosophy. It is to buttress the support of CINO’s (Catholics in name only) and their determination to destroy our religious principles. It is similar to the effort to destroy the principles underlying the Constitution. This opinion offered by a Catholic.

    It is not ignorance on Obama’s part. It is a very deliberate act showing his utter contempt and disrespect for whatever teachings of the Roman Catholic church that Pope Francis still adheres to.

    The Pope was in Cuba, and conspicuously did not meet with dissidents, or even mention the fact that there are thousands of prisoners of conscience in that communist hell-hole.
