The Morning Report 5/12/20

Good morning, kids. Tuesday, and another grim milestone of yet another day of America held hostage. 

Big stories on the Chinese Lung AIDS front, both in terms of the virus itself and the now completely political state of siege, as well as on ObamaGate; yup, that is a trending hash-tag at long last, and we’ll get to it in due course. Starting off with Sino Sinus Syphilis news, Dr. Deborah Birx dropped something of a bombshell yesterday by taking a hard slap at the CDC. “There is nothing from the CDC that I can trust.” Well, that kind of says it all doesn’t it? She also cast doubt on the information coming out from China, which anyone with half a brain would know to distrust out of hand. I guess being a public official one has to be diplomatic so I can’t really criticize her for being late to the party on that score. But her words are kind of shocking nonetheless.

Yet Dr. Anthony “Quack-Quack” Fauci persists in forcing Americans to cower under their beds as well as wear garlic wreaths around their necks before giving us the all-clear signal. At this rate, we can expect that to come around the 12th of Never. Yeah, I get we’re dealing with a virus, but we’re also dealing with massive government bureaucracies that exist essentially not to solve problems but to perpetuate their own existences. And in the age of Trump, it also means destroying him, all he has done, and all that he stands for. 

We’ve done what we were told to do and the rates of infection, hospitalization – which was what the quarantining was all about in the first place – and deaths, even with the juiced numbers and falsified death certificates, are way down. But Dr. Kilpatient still won’t budge. As they say in football, drop five and punt.

Given all that, it is kind of disappointing to now see that the White House will insist on all staffers wearing facemasks. Presumably that includes President Trump himself, which I think would be a huge mistake and send exactly the wrong signal. After criticizing Governor Kemp for reopening Georgia, the metrics in that state are decreasing across th board and dramatically. That was an opportunity blown. People need reassurance. If the president wants to save face, the last thing he should be doing is covering it up.

Over the weekend, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin warned that if we do not reopen the economy now, we will cause irreparable damage to it. Frankly it may be too late already, but Dr. Birx just confirmed Trump’s and the administration’s misgivings about the CDC by rejecting their insane guidelines for reopening. The President does best when he goes with his gut, and considering people across the nation are defying the lockdowns and risking jail and persecution by state and local tyrants, the political winds are at his back. And also considering that his initial gut instinct that, while a foreign virus, especially one that came from China is nothing to sneeze at, it certainly is looking more and more to be something that never warranted the willful destruction of the economy, and the empowering of Democrat despots to abuse the citizenry, overthrow the Constitution and attempt to steal the upcoming election under the cover of a hyped “crisis.”

Lift the lockdowns. Liberate America.

Battle lines being drawn in Pennsylvania, Michigan, California and Colorado as citizens defying dictatorial decrees are met with threats of retaliation. And when you’ve lost Elon Musk… Also, Tony Evers demands Wisconsinites shut up and put the lotion in the basket, and yes, “given what is now known about the [Chinese] coronavirus, governors opposed to ending the shutdown are on a fool’s errand.” Well the only thing that will make them back down is mass civil disobedience. Shelly Luther, the Castle Rock Restaurant and now Michigan barber Karl Manke need to be joined by millions more in what would be the greatest moment of mass peaceful civil disobedience ever. It would also be nice if President Trump stood with them.

Now more than ever, we hang together or we hang separately.

ECONOMIC IMPACT OF THE LUNG MARCH 

I want to be an optimist about the economy bouncing back, even if it obviously takes many months if not, G-d forbid, years, but I can’t see jobs coming back when businesses and their owners are wiped out. Elsewhere, Malig-Nancy Pelosi cuts out GOP from bailout discussions, beyond excluding blue state dictatorships from Federal money, they should be threatened with decertification and reversion to territorial status if they do not lift lockdowns immediately; how that happens I have no idea but it gets me hot and horny thinking about it. Also, what deficits don’t kill these bailouts will finish off, and for me, if you want to rebuild the economy then strangle the entire bureaucracy. Forever.
