The Morning Report 6/19/20

Good morning, kids. Horrendous and destructive both to life, property and our collective psyche as the rioting, looting and mayhem over the past few weeks have been, at the end of the day, they will have had very little effect in making decent, real Americans “take a knee.” Speaking for myself, just the opposite. And yet all over the nation, monuments are not only being desecrated by vandals, they are willingly and preemptively being removed by people who have been either brainwashed or browbeaten into believing or accepting that they are “systemic” racists and therefore must atone and be forgiven – as if that will ever happen.

I can debate either side of the argument that monuments to Confederate leaders and symbols of the Confederacy should be removed from the public square, and even the removal of Christopher Columbus and the Spanish priests, both IMHO wholly unjustified (have a gander at the Culture Wars section and see where this madness is taking us). Now, one of the more insane targets in the febrile, ignorant obsession of the neo-Cultural Revolutionaries is Abraham Lincoln – Abraham-friggin’-Lincoln who emancipated the slaves. If this does not clue you in as to who and what we are confronting, hold a mirror up to your nose and make sure you see vapor.

This is not, nor has it ever been about “justice” (social or actual) or redressing grievances. This is about undoing the founding of this nation and even the very foundations of Judeo-Christian civilization. Think I’m kidding? You’d be surprised at the documented manifesto of the founders of the Black Lives Matter terrorist organization. Some of their core beliefs have very little to do with being black, with lives or even matter.

Circling back, the terrorism – organized and disorganized such as it is – in and of itself is not the end, nor even a very effective means to an end with any lasting consequences. At least not on a national level, despite the fact that it will cause some to cower in fear. Most ironically is the Leftist mayor of liberal Olympia, WA who actually came out and called the vandalism of her home by or in the name of BLM “terrorism.” Next time, they’ll burn the house down instead of tagging the porch with graffiti for her blasphemy of calling a spade a spade, so to speak. But I digress.

The way in which we will be made to care is far more insidious and potentially effective in the overthrow of this nation than violence will ever be. Burning Democrat cities to the ground is neither going to win over the hearts and minds of those lucky enough to live in Normal America. When Amazon controls much of the commerce (as well as a major propaganda organ) and Google, YouTube, Twitter and all the major “platforms” turn into publishers that censor and silence opinions they disagree with, and when academia continues to poison the minds of America’s youth, we’re up against it. Especially that last item. 

Since the late 60s and early 70s, at least two generations of youth have been brainwashed into believing the unmitigated tripe being spewed by Antifa, BLM and their political benefactors (if not actual overlords) in the Democrat-Socialist Party. They’re not just the ones on the front lines tossing Molotov cocktails, cement hate-shakes, bike locks, skateboards and in some instances bullets. They’re not just in the faculty lounges, classrooms and dorms. They’re in the boardrooms and lunchrooms of almost every company, great and small in this nation. And the conversation around the water cooler isn’t about the incredible rack on the new receptionist. It’s about who was detected listening to Rush Limbaugh in their cubicle, who was spotted in the mall wearing a red baseball cap (hint-hint), who dared suggest that “all lives matter,” who objected to the company supporting BLM and mandatory anti-racism training, who got a peek at someone’s confidential personnel file that showed they made a $50 contribution to the RNC? And so on, and so on, and scoobie-doobie-doobie…

But wait, there’s more. It’s an absolute travesty what is being done to the police officer who was forced to shoot and kill Rayshard Brooks in the line of duty. But we are now entering very dangerous territory:

Fox News host Tucker Carlson reported on Thursday evening that the stepmother of Atlanta police officer Garrett Rolfe, the officer who allegedly shot and killed Rayshard Brooks, has been fired from her job at a mortgage company in the area.

“Until today, his stepmother, her name is Melissa Rolfe, was the HR director at a place called Equity Prime Mortgage in Atlanta, Georgia,” Carlson said. “But today, she was let go. She’s no longer in that role, apparently she was fired and her only crime was being officer Rolfe’s stepmother…”

“… This is where the country is going, it’s becoming a place where you can be punished for the supposed misdeeds of your relatives. You don’t want to be that country. All of us should put on the breaks immediately…”

And this is how our nation potentially could end; not with a bang – gunshots, bombs and violence – but with a whimper – us begging for our jobs, our homes and ultimately our lives. I mean literally that. Heinrich Heine said it first and best in 1823:“Where books are burned, in the end, people will also be burned.”

We know what happened 110 years later in Deutschland; at least until the Cultural Revolutionaries ban Heine from being taught on campus, and that is not nearly as sarcastic a remark as I would hope. 

And here we are nearly 90 years after that. In the US of A. You may not care about the revolution but the revolution cares about you. And you will be made to care.
