I doubt it was louder than my laughter. That said, it was not because I found the joke funny but the situational sick humor.

I’m a 25 year airline pilot with a major US carrier. I’ve heard the same story regarding the JFK Lufthansa flight before, so there ya go…must be true.
Another incident in the airline folklore occurred in Honolulu years ago with a JAL jet becoming confused on the taxi instructions. As the story goes, the controller queried JAL asking if this was their first time at Honolulu airport. The Captain replied, “no, this is my second time here. First time, did not land”.
It’s got to be true! That’s a mic drop.
I love it. Hopefully the real story was an American pilot landing in Tokyo, but the humor is still real!
The apocryphal tale of the pilot leaving his microphone on after telling the passengers to “sit back, relax and enjoy the flight.”
He then says to the co-pilot, “Boy I could really use a cup of coffee and a blowjob.”
The stewardess gets up and rushes to the cockpit when a passenger says, “Oh miss? You forgot the coffee.”
Yes J.J., that’s a classic of the genre! Who cares if it’s true or not, that is pretty funny. And after 25 years of goof-ups I’d say it’s entirely plausible.
