The Morning Report 10/11/23

Good morning, kids. After being almost numbed by the details of the barbarism over the past few days, one story that came out this morning made the dam burst on my emotions a bit. And it’s some good news and a ray of light in the blackness:

Inbar Lieberman, the security coordinator of Kibbutz Nir Am since December 2022, heard explosions early Saturday, when the terrorists launched their unprecedented attack on the Jewish state, according to Walla News.

She realized that the sounds were different than those heard during the usual rocket attacks on the kibbutz — located near Sderot and a stone’s throw from the Gaza Strip.

So Lieberman rushed to open the armory, distributed guns to the 12-member security team and coordinated their decisive response amid the unfolding attack.

She placed her squad of kibbutzniks in strategic positions across the settlement and set up ambushes that caught the gunmen off guard and turned the tables on them during their mission to inflict mass casualties.

Lieberman killed five terrorists by herself, while the others gunned down 20 more over four hours as they turned Nir Am into an impenetrable fortress — while nearby kibbutzim suffered heavy losses, Walla News reported.

Ilit Paz, cultural coordinator at Nir Am, told the news outlet Israel Hayom: “It was amazing. My husband was part of the standby unit that worked to prevent more casualties.

“They heard the shots and made contact on their own with other members of the standby unit and with Inbal — and they understood that they were told to be on standby.

“But Inbal made a decision not to wait and be jumped operationally. In fact, the fact that they did it early prevented dozens of casualties,” she added.

A social media post also lavished praise on the heroic woman, the Maariv daily reported.

“When it’s all over, this woman will receive the Israel Prize. The story of her heroism is a story that will go down in Israeli lore for generations. Inbal is the reason there is one kibbutz in the entire surrounding area that remains unharmed — Nir Am,” the post said.

In our military, that’s Silver Star or DSC territory and arguably MOH. I’m getting a bit misty again considering the next story down is that of the last sight parents had to endure before being dispatched was witnessing their babies being beheaded right in front of their eyes.

I’ve written about Hannah Arendt’s concept of a “banality of evil” vis a vis the order-givers and the order-followers in Nazi Germany who snuffed out over 6 million Jewish lives and several million non-Jews during the years 1933-1945. While there are at least some accounts of perpetrators regretting and even in some instances refusing to follow orders, as well as active and passive resisters amongst the citizenry (many who paid with their lives), there are no reports out of Gaza of any of its citizens objecting to what is being done in their name. True, they exist in a totalitarian regime where the consequences of objecting are obvious. But what of “Palestinians” living abroad? Crickets. Worse than crickets. The orgasmic glee of shrieks and ululating at the slaughter of unarmed people. 

Ditto ad nauseam of the majority of Democrat Party leadership who are engaging in double-speak or silent as a large number of their own Reps and Senators are siding with the butchery. That is a political calculus which directly translates into a voter base that is as rabidly anti-Semitic as the pigs in the “Squad.”  And now we have this Black Lives Matter group – which is in fact a terrorist organization by their actions in the summer of 2020 – approving of and glomming onto the blood libel of “Israeli genocide and colonization of ‘Palestine'” as parallel to the blood libel of genocide against blacks by white people who control an equally-illegitimate America, which exists on stolen land, and blah, blah, blah, etc.

Juxtapose the sight of that poor woman being dragged around in the back of a pick-up, urinated and spat upon and that of a truck driver named Reginald Denny, who found himself stuck at the intersection of Florence and Normandie in South Central LA on a spring day in 1992 and getting pummeled with bricks and stomped into unconsciousness by the you-know-whos.

“It Can’t Happen Here?” Considering the propaganda that has poisoned the hearts and minds of several generations of blacks for nearly 60 years, as well as a wide open border where an alarming number of military aged males from Islamic countries have surfed in on the wave of Latin American third world peasantry and a most terrifying picture emerges. Over 70,000 in the past two years alone. And that’s only a guesstimate. If this doesn’t make you even the slightest bit concerned, then you have the attention span and brain function of Fetterman’s neck lump.

Forget the dead-enders and borderline if not over-the-line sickos of the Democrat base or in Europe and even elsewhere in the world. We’ve discussed at some length on these pages the possibility of at least a somewhat reachable group of people of being mugged by reality. Will the images coming out of Israel finally open some eyes or will they too be like that girlfriend of the activist who watched her boyfriend get knifed to death on a Bed-Stuy street and refuse to identify the killer because she wears an ACAB shirt?

The world wonders. Meanwhile, there are still just over one billion people on this planet, even outwardly the most modern of them who at best stay silent about the others of their ilk who cling and carry out to the letter the central commands of their common pseudo-religion/totalitarian ideology which demands subjugation and global domination by any means necessary. 

“Nazi” should never be used to describe non-Nazis. Nazi evil was sui generis. There has never been as organized, as industrialized, an attempt to murder every member of a religious/ethnic group — “every member” meaning babies, women, and the elderly as well as adult males — as the Nazi attempt to murder every Jew in Europe. Within a mere four years, they nearly succeeded: The Nazis murdered two out every three Jews in Europe.

The Muslim leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran regularly announce that the annihilation of Israel is their paramount aim. They would rather murder the Jews of Israel and eradicate Israel than feed their people. In fact, they have stated that the death of tens of millions of their fellow Iranians is a price worth paying if it means annihilating Israel.

That is why the purpose of Hamas’s attack was to slaughter as many Jews as possible. No army base was attacked — because the attack had no military aim. Hamas Einsatzgruppen (the name of the Nazi mobile killing units) attacked a music festival, where they murdered at least 270 young people and maimed an untold number of others. Their other targets were homes, so as to kill entire families — because their aim was not military victory but the murder of Jews. Babies and grandmothers are not military targets. . . 

. . . on Oct. 7, 2023, more Jews were murdered than on any one day since the Holocaust. Percentag-ewise, it was as if 40,000 Americans had been murdered. And these Israelis were murdered for the same reason Jews were murdered during the Holocaust — because they were Jews.

Radical Islam’s useful idiots on the Left deny this fact. They say that Muslims who seek to annihilate Israel are not motivated by antisemitism but by anti-Zionism, as if there is any real-world difference between the two, and as if seeking to eradicate one nation in the world — the only one that happens to be Jewish — is in no way anti-Jewish.

It should therefore be noted, to cite but one example of non-Israeli Jews being murdered by Islamists, that in 1994, Hezbollah, the Iran-backed terrorist organization in Lebanon, bombed the Jewish Community Center in Buenos Aires, Argentina, killing 85 people and injuring more than 300. They weren’t Israelis; they were Argentinian Jews.

It should also be noted that Hamas’s charter makes no distinction between Zionists, Israelis, and Jews:

“The Day of Judgment will not come about until Moslems fight Jews and kill them. Then, the Jews will hide behind rocks and trees, and the rocks and trees will cry out: ‘O Moslem, there is a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him.’”

From Dennis Prager we go to the broader geo-political view with Ace-cruelty fan Victor Davis Hanson who nails it with this one:

There have been plenty of terrorist attacks on Israel. A dozen or so conventional wars of various magnitude have been waged against the Jewish state. And more often there have been mixtures of both.

Yet never have hundreds of gangs of black-clad murderers carefully planned to swarm Israel, with an agenda to pull random Jews out of their homes and off the street, murder them, and toss their bodies in the street.

In fact, the closest parallel to the sort of methods Hamas is now embracing is something close to the Rwanda 1994 mass killing, when swarms of Hutu militia killers launched a preplanned murder spree against thousands of Tutsi civilians.

Note one common theme of these horrific videos of the murdering of young women: the bloodthirst of the Gaza crowd. There appears a natural desire of everyday Gazans to video the mutilations, an embrace of the spitting on the doomed, a frenzied effort to mutilate the dead—and the absence of a single Gazan objecting to the group murder of a civilian.

Hamas did not act out of the ordinary, but in sync with its people. In truth, there is something so terribly wrong in Gaza that the United States should keep as far away as it can from such barbarity—and hope that it too feels the same about America and keeps to itself. . .

. . . Apparently, the Palestinians in their now ISIS role also thought their descent into even greater barbarity, rarely witnessed in even the most savage parts of the world, would shock Israelis into assuming some sort of collective fetal position, with hands over their ears screaming, “make all these demons just go away.”

If so, Hamas sorely miscalculated.

The sheer horror of their methods, and the cowardice shown by focusing on teen-aged girls and children rather than the IDF, will have the exact opposite effect, both in Israel and worldwide.

Israel now knows there is no living with a precivilizational Hamas. It must destroy it, permanently block off Gaza from itself, and adopt a strategy of chronic disproportionate response from now on out.

In such a change of strategy, Israel will have the backing of most of the civilized world and its own people, since there is no other choice once Hamas has adopted its campaign of death. We will likely see things in the next month that no one has anticipated, and yet the Israeli response will be in the eyes of most of the world long overdue. . . 

. . . Let us also be candid, the Biden administration has contributed to the notion that Hamas was a legitimate Middle-East player. It fueled the perception that the U.S. was backing away from its traditional support for Israel—to the delight of Hamas—based on inexplicable policies. . . 

. . . So Israel is to be the moral equivalent of terrorists executing civilians and brutalizing their corpses? And all this from the U.S. government? And what exactly is the “U.S. Office of Palestinian Affairs,” a megaphone for “normalizing” Hamas?

The IDF then is not to retaliate against these killers?

Does the Biden administration now also call upon Ukraine, “to refrain from violence and retaliatory attacks?” Does it believe that Ukraine’s “violence” in response to Putin’s “terror” will “solve nothing?”

Remember also the Biden administration had recently released some $6 billion to Iran through a prison swap deal that saw South Korea hand over embargoed Iranian money to Qatar—despite Tehran’s increased anti-Israeli rhetoric and its loud brag about the escalation. . .

. . . Iran now cheers on mass death in Israel while its agents and provocateurs burrow into the U.S. government (which might explain the Biden State Department’s immediate call to cease Israeli retaliation).

The result of this madness is that there was a general Hamas and Iranian perception that the Biden administration had resumed the discredited Obama insanity of empowering Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas. This discredited agenda aimed to “balance” the power of Israel and the moderate Arab Gulf governments to achieve “creative tension,” and was certainly exacerbated by Biden’s loathing of the government of Benjamín Netanyahu.

Note as well that the Biden administration has insidiously siphoned off key weapons and munitions from emergency stockpiles inside Israel apparently to transfer them to Ukraine. The so-called “War Reserve Ammunition—Israel” is reportedly all but depleted of just the sorts of weapons and shells that will be likely needed in the present crisis. . . 

. . . Upon the ascension of Biden and his woke strategic agendas, we witnessed the following chain of events: 1) the 2021 complete humiliation of the U.S. miliary in Kabul in its greatest defeat in 50 years; 2) followed by Vladimir Putin’s 2022 opportunistic invasion of Ukraine; 3) followed by China’s new belligerence and escalating threats to Taiwan; 4) followed by Turkey’s new de facto alliance with Russia and recent drone encounter with the U.S. air force in Syria; 5) followed by the Hamas/Iranian inspired attack on Israel—6) with more to come unfortunately. . . 

. . . In a sane world, the Biden administration would immediately cancel all talks with Iran, renew sanctions, and stop any cash transferences. (Why were the Obama and Biden administrations so fond of sending so much money to theocratic Iran)? . . 

And there is likely zero chance that the handlers of Joe Biden will do any of that.

We can talk of the internal strife within Israel as one reason for the lack of preparedness. As is well known, much of that strife was fomented by forces outside of Israel, primarily in Davos and of course in D.C. Given the nature of the attitude of those in D.C. to the Jewish state, it would not surprise me in the least to learn that not only was the money they’ve been sending directly attributable to the planning and operational execution of the attack by Iran, but that D.C. knew in advance of the attack and intentionally kept that intel from Israel.

The truth will out. I’m all cried out this morning.
