The Morning Report 2/17/20

Good morning, kids. Start of a new week and Presidents Day. This time, the late-breaking news on Friday that the DoJ will not prosecute key henchman in the coup against the President, Andrew McCabe for leaking to the media and lying under oath about it, as well as news that Generalissimo Alexander “Bearclaw” Vindbag will also face no disciplinary actions from the Army for his behavior in regards to the Trump-Zelensky phone call and his testimony about same at the House sham-peachment hearings. 

Then of course, there’s the seeming dust-up between the President and the Attorney General about the latter not pleased with the former publicly blasting (and rightly so) the outrageous sentencing of Roger Stone after being railroaded and entrapped in a process crime. With the news about McCabe and then the gingivitis calendar girl and Deep State floozy with a JD Lisa Page taking to Twitter to rub it in our faces, one might get the impression that William Barr and his associate John Durham are not going to finally be the ones that will bring a terrible swift sword of justice to these criminals, but just another in a long line of Deep State operatives who talk a big game, then shuck and jive for a few years thinking that we’ll all just forget about it while they let the crooks skate.

Well, certainly after last Friday, that extremely sad and off-pissing news looms as a distinct possibility, even for someone such as myself who had faith that Barr would be different. But, a grand jury has been impanelled and one does not do that unless one is going to bring charges against one or more parties in all of this. And, there is this bit of news, coming from Robert Mueller’s top crooked consigliere Andrew Weissman no less, which might raise an eyebrow:

An interesting twist is arising from the decision of Attorney General Barr to name an outside counsel, Jeffrey Jensen, to investigate the Michael Flynn case. The former top prosecutor on special counsel Robert Mueller’s team says the ploy by Barr is a “ruse” so that the Department of Justice can open a new investigation into former FBI officials James Comey, Andrew McCabe, and Peter Strzok…

…I’m not sure the McCabe matter was a “loser” case. The Justice Department IG found that McCabe lied and he was fired from his job less than two weeks before retirement. He sounds guilty as hell to me, but the Washington two-step saved McCabe from trial. 

I think [Andrew] Weissman is chasing ghosts. If there is a new investigation into those former FBI officials, Barr’s Justice Department wouldn’t need a “ruse” to look into them. This is especially true after John Durham’s investigation has begun a criminal inquiry into the origins of the Russian scandal. Right smack in the middle of that investigation are Comey and McCabe.

I can almost hear many of you, with the exception of one commenter in particular, moaning and groaning that Barr is indeed leading us all down a primrose path while cementing the nation-killing two-tiered justice system that he allegedly is against. Yet the fact remains that there is now a fully-fledged assault against his character and integrity by the Democrat-Media Complex and calls for his resignation not only by them but now by over a thousand former federal prosecutors an DoJ alumni. If you care to take a gander at that list it’s virtually all Deep State hacks and stooges from top to bottom. 

That can only mean one thing; that Barr and Durham are indeed going to bring the hammer down on the key players in the plot to take down Trump and reverse the 2016 presidential election and destroy his chances for 2020 in the bargain should that fail. And since past is prologue with every previous attempt including the ultimate weapon of impeachment, that is the most likely outcome. So I suppose it all boils down to William Barr himself, his nature and his character. Now doubt, he is a creature of the DC establishment having worked there over the course of decades now, including a previous stint as attorney general during Bush 41’s last year in office. But is he committed to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States or of the globalist Deep State enterprise to overthrow it? You don’t last 30 years in DC without both fully understanding that that indeed exists as well as its power to crush you like an insect if you’re even suspected of going against them.

Again, will Barr do the right thing, knuckle under or perhaps try to find some sort of “splunge” alternative that gives the appearance of a reformer while punishing the criminals with nothing more than “the comfy chair?” With those two Monty Python references, I’ll end with a Chester Nimitz/Bull Halsey one: “The world wonders…”

No shot unless we win it all next November.

The crowd went absolutely wild as Trump had Air Force One buzz the Daytona 500 before having the presidential limo set the pace before the race. Naturally the propagandists’ heads exploded over it. Meanwhile, Trump continues shadowing and trolling the hapless Dems on the campaign trail with a mass rally in Nevada scheduled before the state’s caucuses, and while to that party’s horror Sandersnista holds a commanding lead in the polls, the even more horrific prospect of another Iowa-like technical SNAFU looms large. Also, a trio of links on the complete insanity of Michelito Lo-Lo supposedly courting Hillary as his running mate. And this guy’s a billionaire? Meanwhile, Joe Biden continues to sink in the mire, red-diaper baby Peter Puffer slams Rush Limbaugh for the crime of telling the truth about the politicization of his homo proclivities, Mikvah Waters clueless and crass, Q&A with a GOP candidate running to retake a Trump district in NM, Rabbi Fischer unpacks Trump’s lingo, and two essays on the dangers of nascent Marxism including Victor Davis Hanson on “peak progressivism” and what comes after.
